I am the son of F trooper Michael Keegan and I
am currently writing a book regarding F Troop 66-72 and their experiences in
Vietnam. The book is centered on the Thanksgiving Day battle,
the battle of
2/20/70, medals won in different engagements and the day to day life of
living on a track; however begins with my Father's arrival and
initial days in Vietnam as an armored cavalry soldier. I have already
compiled, what I believe to be, the most comprehensive collection of
information regarding the Thanksgiving Day battle, however, I am always
looking for more.
My book seeks to look into what drives a
soldier in battle and how relationships with other buddies on the
battlefield affect the course of events within a battle.
